Meetings Held in Conjunction with the SIGMOD/PODS Annual Meeting

Conferences, symposia, and workshops held in conjunction with the ACM SIGMOD/PODS Joint Conference must be sponsored or co-sponsored by SIGMOD, or held in cooperation with SIGMOD. Further, the meeting must be approved by both the SIGMOD and PODS program chairs, in consultation with the general chairs of the SIGMOD/PODS Joint Conference.  The program chairs consult the general chairs before approval because the meeting’s local arrangements, including rooms and registration, must be coordinated with the overall conference activities. Requests to colocate a meeting with the SIGMOD/PODS Joint Conference should be submitted at least 10 months before the intended date of the meeting, because these requests impact the SIGMOD/PODS conference budgeting and room reservations process. Late requests may face rejection for this reason.
