This DVD contains the transcript of an inteview with Charles W. Bachman, a member of the CODASYL Sytems Committee who won the ACM's A. M. Turing Award for "his outstanding contributions to database technology." The interview was conducted for SIGMOD in association with the Smithsonian National Museum of American History (NMAH). The Archives Center at the NMAH provides on-line access to the transcript. The transcript and original tapes have been donated to the Charles Babbage Institute, which houses collection of Bachman's papers.
