Abstract

An animation design methodology which uses computer graphics to model and animate three dimensional objects based on database concepts is presented. Multiple animation methods including keyframe animation, algorithmic animation, analytic animation and combined animation has been designed based on the graph data model approach. The collision problem when several objects are moved during animation, is solved by using semantic constraints. The Animation Description Language and the Animation Manipulation Language are developed.
