Abstract

Some ideas on managing visual objects and their viewing environment are proposed as the navigational aids for multi-media databases. "Image Base Navigator" described in this paper, is an organized browsing environment, in which we can effectively see and examine a complex of visual objects and in which we can find out associative and related objects with less concern for query procedures. A new information complex modeling technology and a new information world viewing model are introduced. Prototype examples of navigational environment are given. This environment is implemented on the object-oriented data modeling basis.
