Abstract

In last years a lot of research had been done on software reuse, but on the other hand the reuse in the database environment, however, didn't seem to have received enough attention. From this point of view the goal of the MetaBase project is to show that it is possible to apply reuse ideas to the field of database design. Therefore the designer gets assistance in his/her search for relevant models of previous projects in a repository of models and integrates reuse in the conceptual database design process. The presented paper is concentrated only on the conceptual database design on so named "tailor" approach supported by database reuse.
