Abstract

Information about the work done by members of the Swiss Parliament is supposed to be available to the public in Switzerland. Such information encompasses issues debated, voting results, bills passed and many other things. Some of this information has been available electronically in a legacy system. This report summarizes some of the peculiarities encountered when trying to migrate data from this legacy system to a newly developed system. The process applied in this project as well as concrete experiences and lessons that can be learned are described.
